Artists with a long standing in the music industry (Prince, Madonna, Us, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan etc.) generate up to 95% of their income through live shows. You’ll notice that artists like Prince haven’t had hits in a long time, but for years they’ve been amongst the top 5 of best earning artists. Why is that? Because over the years they developed killer live shows engaging their audiences emotionally, building die hard fan communities that pay millions of dollars for tickets, merchandise, CD’s and basically anything a band is willing to sell.

So what’s the lesson?

Develop your art and build a great show to engage your audience and build a fan base. The fan base is what makes you earn money. And you can only build it through your live show.

My Live Music Production is part artist development, part show production.

Artist development deals with stage techniques for performers such as placement, movement and stage authority.

The show production deals with the actual building of the show, song material, arrangements and creating the right moments to engage your audience emotionally.

I’m not a choreographer, though! No dance classes here. Think of it as the work of a theater director, only for live music performance.
